FeLV and FIV free cattery

*** It is the beauty, playfulness, loyalty, intelligence and affectionate, loving nature of Traditional Applehead, and Classic style Siamese cats, which primarily influenced my decision to breed to preserve the authentic, original types of Siamese cats as they looked when first imported to the USA in the late 1800's. Both Classic and Applehead types of Siamese cats existed back then, and you can see this for yourself if you find historical photographs and read documentation from that era.

*** The so called Modern Wedgehead "Siamese", the extremely fine boned, emaciated looking, bat eared extreme wedgehead show cat of today was/is a product of human intervention-an attempt to refine a breed that most people I speak to believe was already perfect as it originally looked! Siamese cats are NOT meant to weigh only 5 pounds at maturity!

***I do not own and will NEVER own(never mind ever breed!) any of these grotesque, bat-eared, anorexic, outer space alien looking , caricatures of Siamese cats, which some cat registration/show organizations still claim are the authentic Siamese! Not to mention the health problems and shortened longevity many of the modern show cat lines now frequently exhibit!!!

***The exotically beautiful, intelligent, loving, playful, vocal, and, yes, sometimes even a bit demanding (I would prefer to say that Traditional Siamese cats and Classic Siamese cats have their own opinion on how they want their Siamese world to be!)

*** Traditional Applehead and Classic type Siamese cats need to be preserved, and not changed to suit the whims of relatively few breeders who think Siamese should look and behave differently than they did in their NATIVE homeland, Siam, before their introduction to the west in the late 1800's.... I have had Traditional/Applehead /Old-Style/Old-Fashioned and/or Classic style Siamese cats all of my life, and will not own any other breed (except perhaps Traditional Balinese cats, which are technically Siamese cats, but with a rarer, but naturally occurring, plush coat, and a gorgeous full plume of a tail as well.)

**** Traditional, Applehead, and Classic Siamese cats love to play, will fetch and retrieve, and are always looking to get into some sort of mischief (I say that affectionately).  They love to converse, and will sometimes start a chat if you so much as glance over at them! If you are looking for an intelligent, active, talkative, playful, and loving companion, then the Siamese cat is the breed for you! Some people say they are demanding, but I think they are simply the smartest of the domesticated cats, and they will let you know when things are right or wrong in the Siamese world. They are not always immediately friendly to new people, so please allow sufficient time for your new Siamese cat or kitten to adjust to new people, as one can not force a Siamese cat to like someone, or, frankly, force them to do anything that is not already in their Siamese mind to do(usually regarding things you would rather they don't do, such as climb curtains, open cabinets, pull down paper towels and t.p. etc.)

SIAMESE CAT AND SIAMESE KITTEN COLORS AT WEARESIAMESE CATTERY

*** Although I have owned the old-style, Traditional, Applehead type Siamese cat since I was a child, my breeding program really only began in 2001, and currently includes ACA, and/or CFA registered Applehead, Traditional, and Classic type Siamese cats and kittens. I currently only breed seal point, chocolate point, blue point and lilac point registered Traditional/ Old-Fashioned/Applehead and Classic type Siamese cats only.

*** I am trying to become a preservationist breeder of Applehead/Traditional/Old-Style and Classic Siamese cats due to their overall superior health, beauty, temperament, and longevity, over most of the extreme wedgehead show type Siamese cats being bred today.

*** I AM GOING TO ADD LYNXPOINT CPSH AND/OR JAVANESE/BALINESE TO MY BREEDING PROGRAM LATER THIS YEAR, AS WELL AS ONE OR TWO TRADITIONAL SIAMESE FEMALE KITTENS. I MAY HAVE A COUPLE OF LITTERS THIS FALL(FROM THE QUEENS I ALREADY HAVE.) PLEASE CHECK BACK FOR UPDATES!

*** SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE!***

CAT REGISTRIES USED BY WEARESIAMESE CATTERY

*** We Are Siamese Cattery bred Traditional Siamese cats and kittens and WeAreSiamese Cattery's Classic Siamese cats and kittens, are proudly registered with one or more of the following recognized cat registries: ACA and or CFA.

PRICES OF WEARESIAMESE CATTERY BRED SIAMESE CATS & SIAMESE KITTENS

*** WeAreSiamese Cattery Traditional Siamese, Classic Siamese, and Applehead Siamese cats and kittens start at $650 and up, and are sold with a spay/neuter contract. WeAreSiamese Cattery Applehead Siamese, Classic Siamese, and Traditional Siamese cats or kittens with breeding rights are sold at significantlyhigher prices than pets, and to select Siamese cat breeders only.

*** My Traditional, Classic and Applehead Siamese cats and kittens with breeding rights are available to responsible, committed breeders only, and are SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive than kittens bought solely for pets. Veterinary costs ALONE per kitten are over $150.00 (series of 3 sets of shots at ~8-9, 12, and 16 weeks of age, plus their rabies vaccination and wormings). In addition to the veterinary costs, some of the costs in raising a litter of quality ACA and CFA registered Traditional Applehead or Classic Siamese kittens include: the cost of quality natural/holistic cat food, the cost of premium cat litter, the cost of advertising in Cat magazines as well as on the internet, the cost of cat toys, cat furniture, cat registrations & membership fees, the time needed(and willingly spent I might add) to properly socialize each kitten, etc. This is NOT an inexpensive endeavor!

WEARESIAMESE CATTERY'S NATURAL/HOLISTIC DIET

*** I feed my Siamese cats and kittens a high quality diet: I feed my beloved Siamese Evo dry cat food, a grain free natural/holistic cat food from Innova, and sometimes "Wellness" holistic cat food, as well as The Honest Kitchen's "Prowl", a top quality dehydrated grain free raw cat food that simply needs rehydration (stir with warm water and wait at least 10 minutes before serving it to your Meezers). Other quality holistic feline foods include Timberwolf Organic's Serengeti cat food as well as "regular" Innova for cats. These last two cat foods I have not fed to my Meezers yet, but may in the near future as they are quality foods.

***please note: I do not make ANY money by recommending these cat foods, unlike many other breeders online, who promote some not so high quality "natural" cat food because they can earn money via multi-level marketing as a distributor-not because they are great foods! Look at the ingredient labels of "FRR" and "LA" for example, and you will find too many grains listed in the top 5 ingredients(oivay!)

***Please do your research and consider feeding premium organic /holistic pet foods!

  PAYMENT AND DEPOSIT POLICY

I accept CASH or U.S. postal money orders ONLY, and only via overnight/express mail. A 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required to hold ANY WeAreSiamese bred cats or kittens. Please be certain you are going to purchase a kitten before sending any payment or deposits as ***ALL PAYMENTS AND DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES WHATSOEVER!!!***

*** Most quality, reputable, well- established Traditional style Siamese, Applehead type Siamese, and Classic type Siamese cat breeders do ask ~ $650 and up for pet quality kittens with no breeding rights. Breeding quality Traditional, Applehead, and Old-style Siamese kittens from well established and well known, reputable breeders, usually run anywhere from ~ $1100-$1500 per kitten and that is IF they will even sell you a Siamese kitten with breeding rights! Because of their relative scarcity, as well as the time and effort involved in establishing quality, healthy bloodlines with good longevity, established reputable breeders are going to be very careful with whom they place their breeding quality Traditional Siamese kittens (i.e. those special Siamese kittens sold with breeding rights) as well, of course, as their pet quality Siamese cats and kittens,(which reputable breeders will always place without breeding rights and with a spay/neuter contract!) I have checked with quite a few breeders for myself, for future outcross breeding stock for my own breeding program recently and the prices I state on my website are based on conversations with the catteries I would get breeding stock from myself. You should now know why there is such a price difference between pet and breeding quality Traditional Siamese, Applehead Siamese, and Classic Siamese cats and kittens from reputable, established Traditional Applehead and classic Siamese cat breeders, as opposed to those kittens sold by "backyard breeders".

  RE: BACKYARD BREEDERS/PET STORES/KITTY MILLS

***These are individuals or even "companies" who may advertise not only in local papers but also unfortunately more and more on the internet as well, to sell Siamese cats and kittens or supply large pet stores with supposedly "purebred registered cats". Beware of non legitimate registries! There are 2 well promoted organizations I know of that not only do not require a multi-generation purebred pedigree, but they also only require 3 photos to get "registered" with their organizations! Hardly proof that you are getting a purebred Siamese much less a Traditional or Classic Meezer!

Back yard breeders/kitty mills tend to sell their kittens:

1. At too young an age-selling kittens under 8 weeks without the mother going with him or her is illegal in many states!

2. Sell their Siamese kittens with no papers and/or have little to no knowledge of the pedigrees behind their kittens.

3. Sell their Siamese kittens with either no shots at all, or, only after the first of the 3 required sets of kitten shots leaving the kitten with no immunity to common cat diseases,(kittens do not acquire immunity until after the 3rd set of shots!)

4. If sold at 16 weeks or older, BYB's most likely won't sell their Siamese kittens with their rabies vaccination either(mandated by most if not all states by the way)

5. Backyard breeders also tend to feed cheap cat food, regardless of the nutritional cost to their kittens, simply to increase their "profit margin"...and so on.

*** The next time you go to get food for your Siamese cats, please check the labels of both dry and canned cat food and see what the main ingredients are, which tend to be the first 5 ingredients listed. Cats are obligate carnivores, and you do not want to see grains listed in the first few positions of the food label-and when a cat food contains grains, as many still do, there are certain grains(and other ingredients) that should be avoided...discussing nutrition with many veterinarians is not always a good idea as they often earn commissions as dealers for one pet food company in particular, that will remain nameless here, but is NOT recommended by breeders of any reputation or longevity that I know of. The health and longevity of your new kitten can be positively or adversely affected by the quality of food you choose to provide for them. Please do not be penny wise and dollar foolish! It may save you some heartbreak down the road! So please choose the highest quality holistic or natural cat food you can for your beloved Siamese!:)

***The costs involved in raising a healthy litter until they are ready for their forever homes, are numerous, and the only way one can make a "profit", imho, is if one feeds cheap, poor quality food, doesn't take one's kittens to the vet for reguar exams, vaccinations, and wormings, doesn't treat one's kittens medically when necessary, and/or or takes shortcuts in general. It is difficult to break even, much less make any sort of "profit" breeding Siamese cats. Siamese cat litters vary in size, there can be health problems with the queen and or kittens which have to be addressed and attended to, etc. Please contact Siamese rescue or your local Humane Society if your budget is limited.

SHIPPING AVAILABLE FOR WEARESIAMESE CATTERY BRED TRADITIONAL AND CLASSIC SIAMESE CATS & SIAMESE KITTENS

*** I prefer new owners to come meet his or her new Siamese kitten or cat in person, and let the Siamese kitten or cat pick YOU out!

*** Visitors to the cattery are asked to wash their hands before handling kittens and in between litters. If you have cats at home you will be asked to wear a smock when holding kittens.

***Selected breeders may purchase kitten(s) from WeAreSiamese Cattery with full breeding rights & privileges.

***The actual cost of shipping WeAreSiamese bred kittens will vary due to the airline used, age/weight of the kitten, the number of Siamese kittens being shipped, and if the kittens are to be shipped internationally.

***I will not ship any WeAreSiamese Cattery bred Siamese kitten until he or she has had at least 2 of the 3 required sets of kitten shots and preferably not until after they have had all their kitten vaccinations, as they do not reach maximum immunity for some time after their third set of shots(given at at ~ 14-16 weeks old.)

*** For those Siamese kitten buyers who may be interested in acquiring 2 Siamese kittens, they can be shipped together in one crate until they are about 6 months old, saving you the extra shipping cost that would be incurred if bought at different times. The older a kitten is before being shipped, the better in my opinion. My Applehead, Classic and Traditional Siamese kittens need time for their vaccines to become effective. Plus, the more socialization a kitten has before going to his or her forever home, the better!

***Shipping fees charged by WeAreSiamese Cattery for USA and Canada destinations: Please allow $400.00 give or take, for a shipping crate, health certificate, vet exam and for my personal expenses for transporting the kittens to the airport.(USA destinations only.) I can not give estimates for international shipping here due to import/airline/shpping company fees and quarantine requirements of the receiving country, etc. The air portion(USA) can sometimes be paid at pickup, but all fees must be paid in advance before I will take the kitten to the vet for required documentation for those Siamese kittens being shipped by air. Please review my services page for more information on shipping and other services offered.

*** CFA requires an 8 generation pedigree in order for a cat to be registered with their organization. Showing does not per se make one a reputable breeder by the way-a lot of pedigree research, limited line breeding, quality breeding stock and litters over a long period of time to establish credibility, and of course producing quality, healthy cats with longevity, does! I breed Traditional Siamese cats first and foremost because the Applehead type Siamese is the breed I grew up with and have loved all my life. I am trying to preserve and improve the rare CFA registered Traditional Siamese cat for future cat lovers to be able to enjoy and love as I always have and always will :) I breed for quality NOT quantity!!
